Following extensive public consultation, Regal Barkwest Limited have submitted plans to redevelop Devonshire Place located on the current BP garage and former HSS sites. Shaw Corporation are the planning lead / development manager for Regal Barkwest Limited. Regal London is the delivery partner. The proposals include new public open green space (including children’s play areas) and new connecting routeways, on-site affordable housing and best-in-class student accommodation.
The site received planning permission in 2022 as part of a wider planning application which included the Council owned land adjacent to the site, however this is no longer deliverable. The new scheme that is being brought forward maintains the benefits of the consented scheme and is better aligned to the current market and changing local context.
